Illness and injury can occur when you least expect it, and sometimes medical emergencies happen outside of normal working hours. When an injury occurs or an illness develops after hours, one may feel scared and overwhelmed. North Coast Emergency Group is open 24 hours to ensure that patients always have access to medical care. North Coast Emergency Group offers you state-of-the-art facilities where all your urgent care needs are attended to as quickly as possible. Even amid a stressful medical situation, our urgent care facilities provide a calm, welcoming environment to make you feel at peace.

Emergency situations that often occur after hours include:

  • Chest pain or tightness
  • Unconsciousness
  • Uncontrollable bleeding
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Sudden onset weakness, numbness or paralysis of the face, arm or leg
  • Unexplained seizures or fittings
  • Muscle sprains or strains
  • An injury due to a fall
  • Minor or severe burns

We at North Coast Emergency Group deliver rapid and appropriate pain control and relief of symptoms. Upon arrival, a comprehensive examination of the patient will be done, which may include diagnostic testing such as x-rays, blood and urine testing, CT scan, ultrasound and MRI scan.

Depending on the diagnosis, the physician will determine which treatment is suitable for the patient. Admission to the hospital or referral to the appropriate specialist may be made when required, depending on the patient's condition and needs.

It is essential to seek medical care or visit the emergency unit if you or your loved one has difficulties in breathing, becomes progressively lethargic or drowsy, or has an ongoing fever (temperature above 38 degrees Celsius).

The term urgent care refers to the diagnosis and treatment of significant or acute medical disorders that require medical attention within 24 hours but do not immediately constitute a threat to life or health. However, getting medical help as soon as possible is crucial if you have any of the symptoms above. You won't have to wait long because our doors are open around-the-clock.
